Company Visits-Technology

Yesterday was my first official day here in Japan due to a delay and missed connection flight. I could write a huge blog explaining the long journey I went through just to get here but I would rather focus on the amazing company to future scope and how advance their gaming and mobile cell phone technology is. I was so intrigued by how fast this company grew in such as short amount of time staring from 2007 to present.  We were lucky enough to meet the President and CEO of the Company Masao Tominaga and sit through a exciting presentation about japanese mobile service and the applications their company offers. We learned about the mobile novel business and how they have turned simple novels into major motion pictures just by a chain reaction of communication. He also explained Fields Mobile which focused mainly on  animation characters, game applications, character development and shameji. My favorite was the idea of shameji, where you can take a picture via your mobile device and it picks up the images and makes a collage image and sends it to your email. They have done a test to see just how many images or faces it could recognize and it was up to 15 faces during one photograph. We also learned about the company DNP which works with  major companies such as sony and panasonic on 3D animation and visual art.The idea of being able to take 2D images such as older movies or even comic book pictures and turn them into 3D experiences was unbelievable. This sort of technology is going to change the way viewer watch and read media. So watch out work becuase Future scope is taking over!
